Fall Festival: October 15-17!

Dear Families and Friends of St. Dunstan Catholic School:

Welcome to our school website. Opened in 1953, St. Dunstan Catholic School is a fully accredited K-8 Catholic school. We are conveniently located in Millbrae, a mid-peninsula city with a small town atmosphere, easily accessible from Highways 101 and 280, and 15 miles south of San Francisco. Our dedicated faculty and staff educate students to be active Christians, lifelong learners, responsible citizens, and problem solvers. We take a personal interest in each and every child.

Catholic education strives to educate the whole child: spiritually, emotionally, socially, intellectually, artistically, and physically. Our curricula and co-curricular activities are designed to instill in each student a reverence for God and all his creation, and to affirm the rich diversity of our students, families, teachers, and priests, while building positive community involvement. We have a proven track record educating children to become people “with and for others” in the Christian spirit of service education. Indeed, our talented graduates have an established record of academic success and extra curricular involvement in the secondary schools of the Archdiocese of San Francisco.

At St. Dunstan Catholic School we create ideal conditions for learning and leadership to flourish. Spanish is offered at all levels, as is music and physical education. Subjects are departmentalized in the middle school classes to prepare our grades 6 to 8 students for high school. We have a hot lunch program in place. We have an integrated outdoor education program. All classes participate in extensive fieldtrips to educational and cultural destinations throughout the Bay Area. Besides athletics, our after school program includes chess, student government, junior student government, ecology club, instrumental music, choir, outdoor education, altar service training and service opportunities. For families with after-school care needs, we offer extended day care program.

As partners in education, we welcome and encourage parent participation as there are numerous opportunities to be involved in the school and parish community. To get a sense of our school community and the many events that make up our learning environment, you can log on to the monthly calendar and the principal’s weekly letter.

If you would like to visit our school, please call the school office and arrangements will be made to do so. Thank you for your interest in St. Dunstan Catholic School, the destination school for quality Catholic education in San Mateo County.

Future developments on this website will include photos coverage of school curricular and extra-curricular activities. Thank you for your patience as we continue to construct and populate this website.

Bruce Colville, Ed.D.
